Kenneth Summers was most recently a student at Erie Community College where he completed his Associates Degree program in Business Administration, and will pursue his Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from the University at Tampa with a major in Entrepreneurship. As an Honors Student, Ken was given the opportunity to join Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) and Alpha Beta Gamma (ABG) honors societies, where he served as Treasurer for the school chapter. While attending school, Ken was active in many local non-profit Security and Wireless organizations in Western New York, serving as the Secretary and Membership Director for the Buffalo/Niagara Chapter of the security group ISACA and was a founding member of New York State Wireless Association (NYSWA), where he still presides as the Public Relations and Media Chairperson, sits on the Board of Directors, and is the organizations Webmaster. Prior to this, Kenneth worked at Ingram Micro as a co-leader of the Wireless Help Desk in Technical Support for five years, helping to bring aboard and integrate key business partners like AirMagnet, Nimax, & Antenex and also educated internal teams on the ever changing landscape of wireless products, technologies, and solutions available to their customers. Also, he was tasked with establishing the criteria VARs are measured by for acceptance into the Venture Tech Network (VTN) Wireless Specialty Group and provided opportunities and leads for these VARs through the Ingram Micro Services Network (IMSN). Finally, another project he headed while at Ingram was cleaning up the Data Standards (DS) descriptions of Wireless Products and making products easier to find for VARs and internal associates, guiding the DS team in product category abbreviations and product placement into these categories. His background includes over ten years of Technical Support, Contract Maintenance and Sales experience and he is currently a Certified Wireless Network Administrator (CWNA) and Certified Wireless Security Professional (CWSP) from Planet3 Wireless and their CWNP Program, pursuing the top wireless certification in the industry, the Certified Wireless Network Expert (CWNE). |
