Starting Wi-FiGurus.com with Jim Geier is a wonderful new adventure for me. We envision Wi-FiGurus as the community where Wi-Fi industry professionals can learn share and grow their wireless LAN knowledge and skills by learning from the Wi-Fi experts as well as actively contributing and collaborating with their peers. While there are many web sites that carry professional content and news about enterprise Wi-Fi industry, none really harness the synergies of the experts and the practitioners of wireless LAN. Wi-FiGurus is architected to change this; we already have some great professionally generated content and soon we would have equally important insights and thoughts from Wi-FiGuru community members. Your ideas and suggestions to improve the site are always welcome so please don’t hesitate to ping me.
Prior to launching Wi-FiGurus, I co-founded Helium Networks, a developer of groundbreaking wireless LAN site survey, design and maintenance products. Helium’s products are used by leading systems integrators and organizations in healthcare, education and government markets and based on a proprietary technology (5 issued patents) by Carnegie Mellon University researchers. Helium’s first product ‘Wireless Recon’ was recognized by Network World magazine as one of the coolest product at 2005 Networld+InterOp show for its user-friendliness, sleek look and functionality.
I have an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University, along with Masters and Bachelor degrees in engineering. |
