Report Outlines Required Actions to Maximize Best-in-Class WLAN Performance; Indicates Increase in Voice Deployments in 2008

URLINGTON, Mass. - July 18, 2007 - Bluesocket, Inc., the leader in open wireless network, security and management solutions, today announced collaboration with Aberdeen Group on a benchmark report, "Measuring the Real Value of Wireless LAN Deployments," which found that best-in-class organizations using a WLAN recognize significant increases in employee productivity, flexibility and collaboration.

Aberdeen research found that best-in-class organizations using a WLAN have recognized a 21 percent increase in employee productivity. The study also concluded that even best-in-class organizations have opportunities to optimize their use of wireless networks, primarily as it relates to accelerating plans for integrating voice and other applications. More than half of the 315 organizations that participated in the study indicated that they plan on deploying a Voice over Wi-Fi (VoFi) system in the next year.

"The findings in Aberdeen's study validate what we hear from customers, that they are looking for ways to leverage their WLANs beyond data traffic," said Mike Braatz, vice president of marketing at Bluesocket. "Bluesocket is dedicated to addressing these and other enterprise mobility needs by providing customers with converged wireless solutions for secure data, voice and advanced guest access."

"Best-in-class organizations were identified as those organizations that deploy wireless networks in a holistic fashion, including guest polices and considerations for voice," said Philippe Winthrop, research director for wireless and mobility research at Aberdeen Group. "They are able to balance the needs of their end-users while ensuring that the network is secure and reliable. Our study showed that, as a result, these organizations experience a 26 percent increase in the collaboration of the workforce directly attributable to using a WLAN - more than twice the industry average."

With Bluesocket WLAN solutions, customers can meet the demands of increasingly complex business applications while delivering security and productivity across the enterprise. As the demand for seamless mobility continues to grow and applications such as voice communications expand, customers can rely on Bluesocket to deliver leading-edge enterprise wireless mobility solutions that are designed to support their mission critical business operations.
