Colubris Networks recently completed a survey of 200 senior IT professionals in medium to large businesses including industries such as healthcare, education, manufacturing and financial services. Colubris found that 44% of respondents have plans to implement 802.11n, one third of respondents plan to replace their wired network using 802.11n, and 62% plan to incrementally deploy 802.11n, versus doing it all at once. Cost and compatibility were the greatest concerns found in the survey. Ratified 802.11n standards, and products based on them, are still a bit out in the future.
